Tragic crash claims life of scooter driver in Deltona.

The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is investigating a tragic accident that occurred earlier today, resulting in a fatality near Deltona Middle School at 250 Enterprise Road in Deltona.

According to authorities, deputies promptly arrived at the scene after receiving reports of the collision around noon at the intersection of Enterprise Road and Jena Drive. The driver of a Suzuki scooter was heading north on Enterprise Road when a Dodge truck entered the intersection and executed a turn in front of the scooter.

Regrettably, the scooter collided with the left front of the truck.

The driver of the scooter, identified as David Antonio Radosta, was pronounced dead at the scene, while the pick-up truck driver emerged from the incident without any injuries. In response to the accident, traffic in the vicinity was diverted until nearly 4 p.m. when the roadway reopened.
