Weekend shooting in DeLand leaves one injured, investigation ongoing.

Detectives from the DeLand Police Department are investigating a shooting that occurred on Saturday night at approximately 2:30 a.m., leaving one individual injured near S Frankfort Avenue and E Voorhis Avenue in DeLand.

According to police, Criminal Investigations Division arrived after the male victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to a nearby medical facility by an unknown party, where he is currently in stable condition.

There is no information available regarding potential suspects involved in the shooting incident. The investigation is ongoing, and information will be released as new details emerge.
