Inaugural Business Summit in Daytona Beach
To give aspiring business owners the knowledge and tools to be successful, a comprehensive business summit is planned for Saturday, Feb. 24 at the Yvonne Scarlett-Golden Cultural and Educational Center, 1000 Vine Street, in Daytona Beach. Mayor Henry and city commissioners encouraged such an event a few months ago and are committed to fueling the entrepreneurial spirit within the community. Attendees will gain access to resources, networking opportunities, and knowledge-sharing sessions designed to fuel business growth and development. There is no cost to attend.
There will be exciting sessions to not only lay the foundation of businesses but to catapult attendees' visions to the next level. An amazing keynote speaker is scheduled and there will be special appearances by well-known business executives. Vendors and resources will be available for attendees to take with them. This is not only a time to grow but to network.
A unique feature of the summit will be a "Pitch Your Idea" competition. This initiative invites attendees to submit their business ideas for a future competition, where winners will receive prizes designed to help offset the costs of starting or growing their businesses.
In celebration of the local culinary scene, the summit will feature a "Taste of Daytona Beach." This unique showcase will highlight local restaurants, many of which are thriving small businesses. It's an opportunity for attendees to experience the flavors of the city while recognizing the significance of small business contributions to the Daytona Beach economy.
