The City of Deltona is taking proactive measures to ensure its residents prepare for the upcoming hurricane season. On Wednesday, May 17, the city will host the 2023 Hurricane Preparedness Seminar at Deltona City Hall at 2345 Providence Boulevard in the City Commission Chambers. The event, scheduled from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., promises to provide residents with valuable insights and guidance from Spectrum News 13 Chief Meteorologist Bryan Karrick.

Bryan Karrick brings an impressive background in weather forecasting, boasting over 26 years of experience in the field. With his wealth of knowledge, Karrick will delve into the intricacies of severe weather systems, shedding light on their formation and equipping attendees with essential information about the forecast for the upcoming hurricane season.

Deltona's Emergency Operations Center representatives will also be present at the seminar, showcasing emergency supplies and featuring a remarkable Hurricane Survival Kit. This invaluable resource aims to educate residents on recommended items that should be readily available before, during, and after a storm strikes.
