Transit Services to Host Public Meetings to Discuss Proposed Changes and New Services
Volusia County Transit Services will host four public meetings to discuss proposed service changes, present information about the curb-to-curb rideshare service, VoRide, and provide updates on the new DeLand SunRail Station. The public meetings will be held:

Monday, April 29: 3 to 7 p.m. at the Thomas C. Kelly County Administration Center, 123 W. Indiana Ave., DeLand.

Tuesday, April 30: 10 a.m. to noon and again from 2 to 6 p.m. at the Deltona Regional Library, 2150 Eustace Ave.

Wednesday, May 1: 2 to 5 p.m. at Votran, 950 Big Tree Road, South Daytona.
Proposed changes starting Sunday, June 30, aimed at improving service reliability and restructuring services in Volusia County include:
East Volusia
Routing and Schedule Adjustments:

Route 6 will no longer enter the Ormond Towne Square parking lot; service will be on Williamson Boulevard or Route 19. The route will also bypass Wilmette and Thompson Creek, turning right on Nova Road from Granada Boulevard. It will also skip 3rd Street and Vine Street, remaining on Brentwood both inbound and outbound. Minor inbound schedule adjustments are planned.
Routing Adjustments:

Routes 19, 1N, and 1S will no longer enter the Bellair Plaza parking lot; they will now stop on A1A. Route 8 will continue to enter Bellair Plaza.
Schedule Adjustments:

Route 60 will see minor schedule adjustments to the inbound trips.
West Volusia
Route Eliminations:

Routes 20, 21, 22, and 23 will be discontinued; alternative service will be available via Routes 31, 33, and VoRide.
Schedule Adjustments:

Route 31 will operate all day, running every 30 minutes during morning and afternoon peak hours and hourly at other times. The route path will vary between peak and off-peak hours.

Route 33 will also operate all day with hourly service.
Flyers and comment forms are available on all buses to outline these proposed changes. Staff will conduct outreach on affected routes to answer any rider questions and assist passengers in identifying the appropriate transit services to ensure they continue reaching their destinations in a timely and efficient manner. Comment forms are also available at the Customer Service window at the Transfer Plaza and in the Votran lobby. Comments can be submitted in several ways: directly to the bus operator, to the customer service representative at the Transfer Plaza, to the Votran receptionist, by mail to Votran, or electronically through Votran's website. All comments must be received by 5 p.m. on Friday, May 17.
