The City of DeLand has announced that a major street resurfacing project will begin Wednesday, May 10, 2023, with an estimated completion by the end of the month, weather permitting. P&S Paving was awarded the contract for the project and will cover several locations throughout the city.
According to a Facebook post shared by the City of Deland, with more than 3.5 centerline miles being repaved, this project represents the most centerline miles the city has resurfaced at one time.
The selected roads are:
• S Orange Ave – Between W Voorhis Ave and W Hubbard Ave

• S Thompson St – Between W Euclid Ave and W Beresford Ave
• S Parsons Ave – Between W Howry Ave and W Euclid Ave
• S Glen Eagles Dr – Between Orange Camp Rd and Cul-de-sac
• E Pennsylvania Ave – Between Oak Tree Ter and End of Road

Crews will work to ensure that the roads are clear to traffic and available to residents. However, road work could delay solid waste and recycling services during this time.
