In a surprising development, District 2 Commissioner Anita Bradford resigned from the Deltona City Commission, effective immediately, attributing her decision to personal reasons in a resignation letter she submitted to the city.

The departure of Commissioner Bradford has initiated the commencement of a search for a suitable replacement to fulfill the remainder of her term, which will conclude in November 2024. The City of Deltona has wasted no time launching the search process for Ms. Bradford's replacement, urging all interested candidates for the District 2 Commission seat to submit their resumes or letters of interest before noon on Monday, January 22, 2024.
