25th Annual Lakeside Jazz Festival Today and Tomorrow

Now in its 25th year, the Lakeside Jazz Festival is a two day festival that benefits middle school, high school, and university students through performance opportunities, adjudication, and professional jazz performances. This year’s festival runs from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. on Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20 on an outdoor stage at the City Center in Port Orange. Student jazz ensembles from middle-school to college will showcase their skills.

The free event has exposed student musicians to jazz with all proceeds returning to the community as scholarships for summer music and leadership camps for local music students. The lineup will feature nearly two dozen jazz bands representing public schools in Central Florida as well as college ensembles from colleges including Florida State University, the University of Central Florida, and Daytona State College.
